Search Providers
This functionality supports search and retrieval of information about people and organizations identified as providers in the system based on demographics, address information, phone numbers or application data contained in the Bright Futures database.
In order for Bright Futures to be able to link together and display all service events for and information about a Provider, a single registration record must be maintained for each individual Provider. It is therefore critical that you thoroughly search the database for the existence of a previously created record for that Provider. The proper use of this function significantly reduces the possibility of creating duplicate records in the system.
To access this function, select the option Search Providers from the Provider Management menu. As a result, the Search Providers page (CM0001) is presented. On this page, use as many fields as needed to enter as much information as is known for a provider in order to perform the most effective search for the record in the database.
