Work Analysis
Analysis of work items and pending work items is an important management tool. When a work item or notice is created, the associated work item documents the date the item was created, the expected date of completion, and the actual date of completion. Work analysis tools provide a window on the work of the organization by helping managers identify items that are coming due but not completed, items that were completed late and the number of days they were late. The tools provide information on the average length of time it takes to complete work items of a particular type. The tools can help identify bottlenecks in the system by identifying cases that are stopped at a particular work item for an extended period of time.
