Work Item (Event)

A work item documents an activity completed for or on behalf of a client or provider. Work items include such things as the approvals of a subsidy or licensing application, the assignment of a case manager to a case, the enrollment of a child with a provider, information received through a system interface, a supervisor's review of work items, and so forth.

Work items are created and completed by the system based on work rules utilizing the Workflow Manager. Completed work items are never deleted from the system.
