Child Care Slots Payment Processing
Unlike child care attendance, child care slots are paid based on the terms of a contract negotiated with each provider of contracted slots. The payment for slots is not based on attendance or the characteristics of the children in the slots.
Contracted slot providers do not also have subsidized children for whom attendance payment computation needs to be made.
Attendance will be recorded for slots but will not be used for the payment of slots.
The expected co-payment total amount is used in the calculation of the negotiated rate for contracted slots. It is not deducted from payments.
Payments for slots should be based on the characteristics of the child enrolled in each slot and using the same funding hierarchy as for Subsidy Payments - Non-Slots Children.
If the provider has a slot contract, a Provider Rate agreement is not required for payment
