Completing a Work Item (Specific)
Depending on the type of work item assigned to a worker, there are several ways for the item to be processed.
Service Requests from Portal
Some items are the result of interface processes and portal actions. These items require a few extra steps in order to complete them. These particular work items have been generated as a result of some entry on one of the portals. Some examples of these types of entry are:
PATH Application being submitted by a PATH worker (PATH Referral);
Subsidy Application being submitted by a parent (Subsidy Application Processing Required); and,
Protective Service Referral listed as a result of the Protective Service Interface (Referral - Protective Service).
Action Items from Work Performed in the System
These items have been generated as a result of actions that have been performed in the system. These may be follow-ups or items that are passed on to other workers in order to complete the tasks for a particular function, such a licensing a child care facility. Some examples of these types of entry are:
Application being submitted for approval by a Licensing Technician (Application Review Required);
A license action being submitted for approval (License Action Approval Required); and ,
Variance Request being entered (Variance Review Required).
The portal requests require some additional steps in addition to the process described in Completing a Work Item (General).
