Additional Special Services Payment Notes
During enrollment, we will enforce children with service needs of "Protective Service" to be enrolled only to providers with "Special Service" status. The date used to check the status is current date or the begin date of the certificate whichever is earlier.
A provider with "Special Service" status will get an additional 15% payment over the basic rates for Family Support, Special Needs or/and Protective Service children.
A provider without "Special Service" status will only get basic rates for Family Support and Special Needs children.
A provider without "Special Service" status will get "ZERO" for Protective Service children.
It is the user's responsibility to close a "Protective Service" child's certificate if the provider is losing the "Special Service" status. The system will not enforce this. In other words, if a provider losing the "Special Service" status, then get the status back, the provider will receive the 15% + basic rates unless the user close the certificate.
If a certificate with both "Protective Service" and "Special Needs" status, the "Protective Service" business rules prevail.
