Overview for Licensed Program Application
Child care that is provided in a location other than the provider's home is subject to the licensing process. Currently, 566 licensed child care centers in Vermont serve between 16,000 and 18,000 children daily. Forty-five (45) centers have obtained accreditation from a national accreditation body such as NAEYC. This section describes the process for Licensed Program Applications and the objects within Bright Futures that support this process. The following functions are contained within the Licensing process.
