Repayment Received Entry -- On Behalf of Another Party Function

If the repayment is being made on behalf of another party, this function links that person to this transaction. If you answered the field "On Behalf of Another Person" as Yes, you will be prompted to the following page upon submission of the Repayment entry.

This function allows users to search for any person or organization that has been recorded in the system. When searching the database to determine if a party has been previously entered, the object is to use a greater number of search parameters to yield the smallest number of party records matching the search criteria. If, however, entries in several fields do not return the expected results, some entries should be edited or removed so that alternative searches may be performed. Perform a search in the database for the person for whom the repayment is being made. The following search fields are available:

Organization or Last Name

Enter the name of the organization or the last name of any other person which would have been created in the system.

First Name

Enter the first name of the person that is associated with the Last Name field described above.

Search Type

Select one of the following from the drop-down list using the down arrow next to the each of the First and Last name fields () to restrict the search parameters:

Reference ID

Enter the ID Number that is associated with a Reference Type if one is selected for the search criteria. Enter the number without using - (dashes) which is part of the format.

If a number has been entered in the previous field, select one of the following for the associated type:

CCIS               CCIS License ID

DOE                 Department of Education Student ID

DMV                Driver's License Number

EIN                  Federal Identification Number

SSN                 Social Security Number

ISN                  PATH ID

SSID                Social Services ID

SEID                State Employee ID

VID                  Vendor ID

City

Enter the City in which the party is located.

State

Enter the State in which the address is located.

Zip Code

Enter the Zip Code in which the address is located.

Once the information in as many appropriate search criteria fields as deemed beneficial, click on the Search button.
