Effective immediately, the program will ensure compliance to the requirements of this rule. Update all policies and practices to meet the requirements of this rule. Ensure all persons who are involved in expulsion or payment matters are aware of the revised policy. Send the revised policies and practices information and confirmation that it has been reviewed with the relevant persons to Licenser Sarah Crosier. Include in this email, how and when this policy update will be communicated to parents. |

The licensee notified a parent of a child in care on a Friday evening that the child could no longer attend the program effective that date. The required written 5 day notice prior to removal from care was not given. |

In the event that the concerns cannot be resolved, written notice to the child's parent(s) is required with at least five (5) days' notice prior to expulsion. |
