Relationship between Grants, Contracts and Agreements

Grants are entered into the system through the Grant Application process. Once a grant has been approved, a user initiates an agreement in order to apply the payment terms for the grant. The grant payments are made through the Grant Approval function.

Grants are created for an individual or an organization for the following purposes:

Community Child Care Support Agencies

Professional Development

Program Improvements

Transportation

Contracts are initiated in the system through the Provider or Person Account Summary pages. The following contracts are entered in this manner:

Contracts - Reserved Spaces

Transportation - Formal

Transportation - Informal

Once a contract has been entered, an agreement is initiated in order to apply the payment terms. An agreement becomes the mechanism through which the grant or contract is tracked throughout the system.
